The race is on. Election Day, November 2, 2010, may seem like it’s a long way off, but our team knows we have plenty to accomplish to make the Flowers for Treasurer campaign a success.
I’m pleased with the positive responses we’ve received since filing our first campaign papers with the Delaware Department of Elections last week. Everyone I’ve talked to — Democratic Party officials, Delawareans of all political views, members of the news media — is interested in hearing more about my plans to make the state treasurer a more vigorous participant in Delaware’s ongoing economic development efforts.
This campaign will be about Restoring Prosperity, and that means not only strengthening Delaware’s finances but also investing its funds in ways that will promote the growth of the businesses that call Delaware home and employ so many of our citizens.
